Senior Backend Engineer - Content Platform

Reddit is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Content Platform team in Chicago. You'll be working on the systems that power one of the world's largest content platforms, handling billions of posts, comments, and votes from hundreds of millions of users daily. This role involves building scalable APIs, optimizing database performance, and developing algorithms that help surface the most relevant content to users. You'll work on features like content moderation tools, community management systems, and real-time content delivery while ensuring our platform remains fast and reliable during traffic spikes. We're seeking someone with strong backend engineering skills who can design systems that scale with our growing user base and evolving content needs.
